The Art of Living
An interior designed with artists at heart
The design celebrates the apartment’s impressive ceiling height of 3.6 metres, a feature the architect highlighted with double rows of kitchen cabinetry, elegant high mouldings in the living area and sculptural pendant lights. Rather than adhering to a single style, the interior was shaped for those who value space, balance and impeccable proportions. At its core lies the idea of a private art gallery: the walls were finished to accommodate rotating displays of paintings, each illuminated by picture lights that bring the collection to life.

Guided by the owners’ refined eye for detail and cohesion, the architect introduced a recurring motif of vertical fluting – echoed across the interior in the fluted MDF kitchen fronts, decorative wall panels behind the television, and a strip of textured tiles in the bathroom.
“From the earliest design stage, the clients envisioned an open, gallery-like space to complement their art. Several walls were removed to enlarge the living area and link it with the hallway, creating a light-filled interior with a sense of flow, openness and effortless elegance.”
