Technology, Seamlessly Built In
This house of over 200 sqm shows how smart home technology can be seamlessly integrated into elegant, warm and highly functional interior architecture. The project covers several floors and includes five bathrooms, a pantry, laundry room, gym, sauna, music room, two walk-in wardrobes and a roof terrace with a summer kitchen. As early as the developer alteration stage, the layout was almost entirely redesigned around the owners’ lifestyle — with mainly the structural walls remaining from the original plan. Modern technological solutions, concealed installations and smart home systems are not treated here as extras, but as a natural part of a home created around everyday needs.

The ground floor is an open-plan living area with a kitchen, lounge and terrace. Its strongest features include:
- an island finished by hand with structural plaster,
- a 90 cm built-in Miele fridge,
- a separate freezer, a wine cooler,
- a pantry under the stairs
- and a concealed passage to the garage hidden within the wall of cabinetry.
The first floor contains the children’s rooms, a guest room, the children’s bathroom and the laundry room –
- A 3D ceiling conceals the installations and mechanical ventilation system.
- A bookcase disguises the entrance to the technical room,
- while the laundry room features a sweater-drying system, a wardrobe that refreshes clothes and a laundry chute leading down from the walk-in wardrobe.
The second floor forms the owners’ private zone, with:
- a bedroom,
- bathroom,
- two walk-in wardrobes,
- sauna,
- gym
- and music room.
The gym is fitted with rubber flooring, a mirror and specialist equipment.
The music room stands out thanks to its soundproof recording booth, acoustic foam panels and guitar display.
“The most interesting aspect of this project was concealing technology within the interior architecture. The door to the technical room disappears behind a bookcase, the laundry chute runs from the wardrobe on the third level directly to the laundry room, and smart glass film in the bathrooms provides privacy without the need for curtains. The rock-like ceiling effect hides numerous ventilation pipes while creating the feeling of entering a cave — a technical limitation became one of the strongest atmospheric elements of the interior.”
