Japandi with a ’60s twist

Style, serenity, and art in perfect harmony
A project rooted in the Japandi style, with retro influences woven throughout. Muted earth tones—olive green, deep terracotta, soft beiges, and creams—set a calm, comforting atmosphere. The softly rounded, organically shaped furniture takes cues from ’60s and ’70s design, blending seamlessly with the owner’s beloved pieces of modern art. Every material—natural wood, sintered stone, and textured fabrics—was selected for both function and durability, striking a balance between beauty and practicality.

“The client has a deep appreciation for good design but also values moments of stillness and reflection. This interior was meant to offer both: a space that feels like an art gallery and a personal retreat. Each element was chosen with care to subtly reflect the aesthetic of mid-century design without overwhelming the space. Shades of brown and white dominate, paired with minimalist solutions that honour both functionality and artistic spirit.”
